Moisturizing Avocado and Honey Face Mask

Having great skin is a big deal for me. Recently I have been suffering from breakouts due to mask wearing, aging, weather change, and if I'm being honest eating sweets. When it comes to skincare, I opt for small brands that use all natural ingredients or DIY skincare treatments...if you can make it yourself...why not? There are so many amazing everyday ingredients that you can use to transform your skin. Fruits, vegetables, spices, minerals, other natural ingredients not only have great benefits for your inner health, but also aid in promoting healthy skin (and hair). I don't know about you sis, but when my skin looks good my confidence is HIGH.

This was the first all natural mask I learned to make...years ago, and it's still my favorite. The ingredients work so well together leaving you feeling #moisturizedandunbothered. So, while you are eating a delicious avocado don't be afraid to rub a little on your beautiful skin.

Let's talk about the ingredients...

Avocado. I LOVE avocados and I always have them on hand. Avocados are considered a superfood, which means these green babies have so many benefits. Vitamins...check! Vitamins A and C are perfect for the skin. Natural fat..check. Avocados are loaded with fatty acids which provide moisture to the skin.

Honey...she is not only sweet but girlfriend packs a punch. Honey is full of antioxidants, antibacterial properties, and is a natural humectant. If you're not using honey on your skin...start now! It's amazing on its own. And, if you really wanna level up add some manuka honey to your mask.

Oil...a good moisturizing oil. I usually use jojoba, avocado, or almond oil, but olive oil and coconut also work great too. Feel free to test them out so you can find an oil your skin loves. Oils add extra benefits like moisture, but can also be used as cleansing agent (we will talk more about that later).

Ingredients

1 whole (or half avocado I try to eliminate food waste as much as possible)

Tablespoon of NATURAL Honey (if it's not natural it won't work...manuka honey is amazing)

Oil (your choice, but my skin loves avocado and jojoba)

Essential Oil (this is optional but it adds extra benefits depending on the oil)

Blend all the ingredients together in a blender and apply. Leave it on for 15-20 mins. This mask is great for a weekly face mask, be careful not to over use because certain ingredients can clog pores if used excessively.

As always, love and live naturally.
